USB DAC Troubleshooting
DAC2/UAE23+: The LED light turns off after I connect it to my computer.
- This is normal behaviour, as the LED light is only lit when playing music.
I can’t get the computer to recognize the DAC.
Try these steps:
- Disconnect and reconnect the DAC
- Reboot the computer.
- Try another USB port.
- Try another computer if possible.
- If you have previously installed ASIO in Windows, then try to uninstall ASIO and use it with native Windows drivers. Reboot windows after uninstalling drivers
- Disconnect and reconnect the DAC
Specific for For DAC2 with external PSU:
- Connect USB from the DAC to the computer.
- Connect AC or DC plug to the DAC.
- Connect the power supply to the mains/outlet (apply voltage).
There is no sound.
If the device is recognised but there is no sound coming through:
- Check system volume level and make sure it is set not to 0.
- Restart the application
- Restart the computer
- Try another set of headphones, or another cable if connected to an amp
- Uninstall ASIO drivers
- Try another computer
Distorted sound
Can sometimes be caused by computer/driver issue.
- Reboot computer
- Try another computer
There is only sound in one channel
- Check your headphones or cable, this is the most likely cause.
It looks used!
- We receive the cases like this, we don’t make the cases ourself. Most of them come with small nicks and scratches. This is the way it is for the moment, and doesn’t mean that the DAC is used.
UX1: The volume knob is behaving strangely
- It can behave a bit strange sometimes if you move it too slowly.
