New version of our ES9023 I2S DAC specially made to fit the Rasperry Pi model B.
LT1763 ultra low noise regulator and on board asynchronous master clock. A 40MHz oscillator is included and supports up to 192KHz sample rates. It is made to directly fit on the raspberry pi model B (however it doesn’t fit the new B+)
There are RCA outputs on the board, and additionally a 3 pin connector can be used (this cable is not included).
It comes fully assembled just as pictured.
Power requirement: 6VDC. 4-12VDC is ok. This
CN3 (the two pin white connector) is a power down selector. Can be controlled by a switch or a open drain signal. Open = power on.
LT1763 LDO regulartor is set to output 3.6V to maximize the output level.

Works a treat!
Connected to my Model B Pi and sounds great. Using Rune and it’s airplay capability to play my Plex library via an old iPhone. Schweet!!!

Received in good order. Have not yet applied power as I have a fitment concern. When put in place atop the Pi on the pins, a soldered pin for an audio jack bears on the Pi’s capacitor (the capacitor near the power plug, between C3 and C6 on the Pi board.) This causes the ES9023 I2S DAC to sit at an angle, plus I’m worried about shorting something when I power up. Will the audio jack short to the case of the capacitor?
